MONDAY 5TH Hotel Del Cine Los Llanos Coin An easy 10km ’starter’ walk with two good Miradores. From the parking places on the road outside Cine complex, though the pine forests to view over La Fuente. On to the Miradore over Baranco Blanco and the Mijas coastline. Return via the water collection plains and back up to the Hotel Del Cine for drinks and tour if there is sufficient interest. 10 easy

MONDAY 19TH Monda Car Park From CP through village up to Castle and on in direction of Marbella Gun and Country Club(MG&CC). At junction below club dropping down into valley, crossing stream and then climbing up around the valley bordering Istan. At the Cortijo the route goes back in direction of Monda with a steepish climb (not too hard) toward Monda village. Tapas and drinks in the village as required. 12 medium
NOVEMBER

MONDAY 2ND Monda Car Park From Monda to Guaro across the valley with some continuous climbs but not too steep. Regrouping and refreshments in centre of Guaro. Cross Guaro and circle behind the mountain to the west coming up a steep incline to MG&CC(currently closed otherwise more refreshments here). From here back down to Monda via Castle. 14 medium/ hard

MONDAY 16TH Monda Car Park Drive to Guaro and park west of village. Taking the official walking route down into valley in direction Tolox and then a long climb up(4kms) to a superb viewing place looking toward Alora and Pisarra. Taking the fork right at the top and dropping into the valley for return to guaro. Last 2kms upward climb. Late lunch refreshments in Guaro as required. 11 tough

MONDAY 30TH Monda Car Park Drive to the Istan Valley, Park Sierra de las Nieves, and park cars. Out and back walk through the Pine and Cork Oak forests with a chance of seeing wild boar! Easy walk with some inclines but you can make it as hard as you wish. Walking out for one hour and then back. Distance will depend on individual speed but should make around 10kms 10 easy

MONDAY 18TH Monda Car Park From village down Roman footpath toward Coin. Cross road and route through Camino toward the Poligono Monda. Up hill to Pine forests and along the top towards Alpujata Valley (Hippy commune of the 70’s). Visit the fuente (if interested) the back to Monda for tapas and refreshment. 10 or 12 easy
